The program involved training of TA/STAs who are responsible for ensuring a practical learning environment in the Institute, resource utilization in the labs and offices has bearing on our capital and operational expenses, lab management has bearing on space utilization. 12 Departments and schools/centres participated in the program. Experts from QCFI and SAIL evaluated the institutional infrastructure. 6 zones were picked up for practical demonstrative training by the guest experts followed by presentations on the training outcome by our units. The Zonal Leaders receiving training under this program will further train TA/STA of other departments thus creating more zonal leaders. A review program will be held after a month along with certification of trained personnel by QCFI.
Director V K Tewari said - quality is a habit and a daily routine. It starts with us and the moment we wake up. While we adapt to industrial quality parameters, we also need to keep an eye for traditional knowledge instilled in our own culture and society to naturally pursue excellence in our actions, like the motto of IIT Kharagpur
