Dr. Saptarshi Ghosh, Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, has been appointed as the Head of a Max Planck Partner Group of the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS), Germany.
Max Planck Society and MPI-SWS will sponsor the development of the research group to be headed by Dr. Saptarshi Ghosh at IIT Kharagpur for a period of five years. The group will conduct research on the topic of "Bias and Fairness of Online Search and Recommendation Algorithms", a key area in AI and computer science engineering.
