focused on the fundamentals, neatly balanced with ample time for interaction. An hour long session on how to bridge the gap between thinking and doing came to life with plenty of relevant questions and apt answers. At the outset he pointed out that the objective of every student should be to realize one's full potential, be it in research or work, or in taking up a job in the corporate world. Many people are learned, but when it comes to application, they are not good. That means they have great potential, but cannot be kinetic and that signifies the difference between potential and kinetic energy. According to Mr. Bose, many people have the power of thinking, but they cannot apply it effectively. This may be referred to as analysis paralysis. This problem can be addressed by means of learning by doing, so that the next time one can be an achiever.
Turn potential to kinetic. Seek out opportunities to act.
Energy and Focus are the two legs of performance.
Distraction and Fear are the two major Impediments.
Physical Action is a precursor to performance.
Do NOT Multitask; nor substitute talk for action.
