MAKAUT, WB and Bangla Worldwide Arranges for a Platform to Exhibit Filmography Talents of Students
Film is considered to be an important form of art, a source of popular entertainment, and a powerful medium for educating all.
A short film is more effective and useful, as the story is created briefly and economically and this helps to focus on the desired subject. Many students of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology ( MAKAUT), WB has utilized their spare time in the midst of this unprecedented Corona pandemic and created short films with the help of their smart-phones.
MAKAUT and Bangla Worldwide want to encourage the students and acknowledge their talents in this field. Thus, they are arranging a Short Film Festival "MAKAUT Chitramanjari" from 26th October. The films will be telecast in the portal of Bangla Worlwide.
Banglaworldwide is a first-of-its-kind online-offline initiative to ‘link’ Bengalis across the world. It is also for all those who love ‘Bangaliana’ in any form and are connected to it, even in the slightest way. The Bengali diaspora occupy a large space in this no-boundary space for them to interact on all aspects of Bangaliana.
During the ongoing pandemic, the educational institutions have been closed, cinema halls were not functioning and all avenues of entertainment were out of reach. But the students did not sit idle. Instead they showed their creative talents in film-making. The objective of creating these short films was to create awareness in the society on many contemporary issues and at the same time provide entertainment . MAKAUT and Bangla Worldwide will cotinuously encourage such creativity amongst the young generation.
