A recent study by IIT Kharagpur researchers has led to the formulation of a set of environmental recommendations for solid waste management under the pandemic situation. The researchers have explored the challenges faced by the solid waste management sector, typically cases in biomedical waste, plastic waste, and food waste management, during the pandemic and the underlying opportunities to fill existing loopholes in the system.
