Recruitment of Full-time, Contractual Faculty Positions in Communicative English
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB invites applications for the posts of Two Full-time, Contractual Faculty Positions in Communicative English at its Haringhata Campus. Professionally established individuals with experience may apply for visiting faculty positions.
MAKAUT, West Bengal is the nodal university of the state which provides affiliation to about 200 colleges offering traditional, as well as modern courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Management and Applied Sciences with nearly 2 lakh students. The University has also introduced more than 50 in-house programs/courses on time-tested as well as emerging areas. Its sprawling academic campus at Haringhata, Nadia, the City Office at Salt Lake, Kolkata, the nodal centres functioning at Siliguri, Kalyani, Durgapur, Hooghly etc. and the affiliated colleges are all working in close cohesion to achieve the objective ‘In Pursuit of Knowledge and Excellence’.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The concerned faculties have to teach in classroom and also in online mode at UG & PG levels. They will have to get involved in Research & Development, new program/course initiation, preparing CBCS curriculum & syllabus with outcomes, project & grant writing, organizing academic events etc.
ELIGIBILITY:
Post-Graduate, preferably Doctoral Degree in a related discipline from a university/institute of national repute.
PREFERENCE will be given to
- Conformance to UGC norms and experience in similar work
- Energetic, proactive candidates capable of working on multiple fronts with deadlines
- Proficiency in software tools, online teaching platforms, and digital devices
- Evidence of being a team player
- Experience in both academia and industry
- Proven track record in executing and supervising application oriented projects
- Demonstrable proficiency in “foreign” language(s) other than English;
- International exposure
