Creating the Best Impression: An insight on how to face Personal Interviews
The Centre of Linguistics and the Training & Placement Cell of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB organized an Online Training Session on Interview Preparedness
It was the the first session hosted on the 11th of July, 2020. It was attended by a large number of students of both the In-House and the affiliated colleges of MAKAUT, WB. The Chief Spokesperson for the session was Mr Vishal Verma (Sr Manager HR, Techno Electric and Engg Ltd) having an experience of close to two-decades in the HR Management sphere.
Objective
The session named ‘Creating the Best Impression: An insight on how to face Personal Interviews’ was conducted in order to provide the students with an idea on how to prepare for Personal Interviews successfully in the HR round. This was done with the objective of helping the students to enhance their employability quotient by providing them with an insight into the interview process in Corporate sectors, so that they can increase their chances of being employed after graduation or post-graduation.
In order to provide the students with an idea on how to face Personal Interviews and about the expected candidate profile in accordance to industry standards, the faculty members of the Centre of Linguistics, Mr Sushanta Kayal and Mr Shaswata Sengupta, under the direction of Professor (Dr) Sukhendu Samajdar (Director, Natural and Applied Sciences and Professor-in-Charge, Centre of Linguistics and Language Laboratory, MAKAUT, WB) launched the first session. Dr. Anandarup Sarangi (Training and Placement Officer, MAKAUT, WB) moderated the discussion.
Mr Verma discussed the various aspects of successfully facing personal interviews with the students. He also provided students with an insight on the candidate-profile expected by employers and gave them his valuable suggestions on how they can prepare themselves to match up to the expected standards. Individual questions by the attendees were answered in detail by the panellists.
The session was inaugurated by Professor (Dr) Sukhendu Samajdar and moderated by Dr Anandarup Sarangi. Mr Shaswata Sengupta and Mr Sushanta Kayal served as coordinators for the session.
This was the first session in a series of Online Training Sessions which the Centre of Linguistics and the Training and Placement Cell, MAKAUT, WB will be conducting together.
