IIT Kharagpur has been reaching out to the underprivileged community every month since April 2020 to provide relief during the COVID-19 to support them financially. Until now the Institute has disbursed relief and monetary help for close to an amount of Rs. 1.5 crore, towards phase wise relief distribution, direct bank transfers, hospitality of emergency workers. The IIT KGP Foundation USA has been leading the fundraising initiative.
