Blackstone Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder Stephen A.Schwarzman sat down with UIDAI Founding Chairman and Chairman & Co-Founder of Infosys, Nandan Nilekani, to discuss the evolution of technology and India’s growing importance in this field at IIT Bombay on March 4, 2020. 

Mr. Schwarzman shared how Blackstone became one of the largest global investors and the firm’s focus on technology and IT investments. He also discussed his personal passion for AI and technology education, having made substantial donations to MIT and Oxford University to fund AI-related research; and India’s emerging role as a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship. Mr. Schwarzman also shared anecdotes from his New York Times bestseller and Amazon bestseller, What It Takes: Lessons in the Pursuit of Excellence, recounting lessons learned during his life and career with the many aspiring entrepreneurs in the audience. 

The event was attended by more than 1,500 students, professors, IIT Bombay alumni, and members of the business community.
