Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB is trying to reach out the young students from the very finishing point of their school level to guide them about their future career prospects through its School Connect Programme. At this point, these students are confused about the right path to success and they are also too young to take all decisions on their own.
With this aim in view, MAKAUT launches a 'SETU BANDHAN" Programme with the Heads of different Bengali and English Medium Schools, as well as Heads of different High Madrassas on the 19th of February, 2020. The objective is to bridge the information gap that comes in the way of their choice of appropriate profession in future and without the help of school teachers that is not possible.
The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Maitra and Heads of different Departments of MAKAUT directly interacted in the SETU BANDHAN Programme. A very novel initiative on the part of MAKAUT was to present a sapling to each teacher. It is very symbolic, as a student is to be nurtured, just like a sapling and that is exactly the duty of a school teacher.
