Students Enthusiastic to see Drones and Robots
The stall of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB at the International Kolkata Book Fair, 2020 is a unique one, as it is informing the prospective students and their guardians about various courses offered by the University and its affiliated colleges. It is near the Publishers' and Booksellers' Guild's Office (Stall No. 294) and can be approached easily from Gate No. 5.

The Vice-Chancellor of MAKAUT Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Maitra inaugurated the stall on the 29th of January, 2020. The representatives from different affiliated colleges and off-campuses were also present on the occasion.

The stall is informing the visitors that all opportunities in the field of education in Engineering, Management, Media Science, Hotel Management and other technical areas are available at MAKAUT and its affiliated colleges, right in the state of West Bengal. At present MAKAUT, WB offers a plethora of programmes ranging from Engineering and Media Science to Real Estate Management, from Culinary Science to Interior Designing along with the newly launched PGDM and Certificate programmes with different Industry Partners.

Prof. Maitra said that MAKAUT, WB has introduced several such professional programmes to enhance the employability and entrepreneurship quality of the students. The prospective students and their guardians are showing a lot of attention in these courses.
Through its Book Fair stall MAKAUT took the opportunity to popularize its professional programmes. The focus was to promote these programmes among the school students, so that our future generation have a thorough knowledge of various programmes and courses offered at the university, before they step into the job market. This knowledge will help them seek out their interest and follow their passions in pursuing their preferred career options.
The University is handing out fliers/leaflets containing information about different programmes . The fliers/leaflets were well-accepted among the target students. MAKAUT is also organizing Quiz Contests and distributing prizes, which is attracting the young generation.
