The fourth Regional Science and Technology Congress 2019 is to be held at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB, Haringhata, Nadia for the Southern Region. It will be held on 23rd and 24th of December 2019.
The students are very enthusiastic about the exhibition and are waiting eagerly for the Science Congress. Students of different affiliated Colleges of MAKAUT and also school students have submitted different models which will be exhibited. More than 100 projects are also submitted by them. As this Science Congress is
for the Southern Region, students from North and South 24 Parganas, Kolkata, Howrah, Nadia and Murshidabad are participating. Competitions, Poster Presentations, Paper Presentations are organized as a part of the Exhibition.
The West Bengal State Science & Technology Congress (WBSSTC) provides a forum for interaction and deliberation, review of the present status of R&D efforts and to formulate strategies for better utilization of scientific and technical manpower for the overall development of the State of West Bengal. The event also provides a platform for encouraging talented young scientists of West Bengal to read and published their papers in vernacular language.
The Department of Science and Technology and Biotechnology (DSTBT), Government of West Bengal has identified 12 areas like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Medical Science, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, 'Agriculture-Fisheries and Animal Science', Engineering, 'Social Sciences & IPR etc and papers will be presented in these fields.
Shri Bratya Basu, Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge Department of Science and Technology and Biotechnology will deliver the Inaugural Address at Haringhata Campus of MAKAUT on the first day of the Southern Regional Science Congress. Dr. Partha Chatterjee, Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, Dept of School Education, Higher Education & Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of West Bengal will also address the gathering on the inaugural day.
