    1) B.Sc in Forensic Science( Enrolment through C.E.T, undergraduate)

    3) Certificate Course in Forensic Science and Criminology
    4) P.G Diploma Course in Computer Forensics, Cyber-Crime and related laws

There are endless opportunities in this field because of unlimited crimes worldwide.

    About Forensic Science

    Forensic Science is based on dealing with crime and criminals scientifically. Forensic Science is all about methodology and on the basis of the evidences acquired, conclusions are made by the Forensic Experts. This

    includes fake cheques, forged documents, online banking frauds, cyber hacking etc. Police investigation cannot proceed forward until the forensic experts gives useful information.  

    It is important to choose the specialization subjects at the graduation level. For instance, in case of a hacking or cyber-crime or banking frauds, the impact should be analyzed and possible details can be identified through Cyber or Computer forensics. During the practical examination, students are given tasks such as extracting deleted data from hard disks or pen drives or any other storage device using Biometric aid used for tracking criminal history.
    Forensic science has applicability all over the world. Demand of forensic scientist is directly proportional to the crime rate in a particular area. In India, the major urban centres tend to have a higher demand for forensic scientists. According to U.S. Bureau of Labour Statistics, it was reported that there is about 27% projected job growth for forensic sciences and most of the job prospects are seen in various Private and Government Sectors.

    Most of the jobs of forensic science are in the government sector that why the salary is strictly based on the structure and pay scale. In Private sector, the agencies offer handsome salaries to experienced candidates. After completing a qualification in forensic science, the starting salary is between INR. 3 Lakhs to INR. 4 Lakhs per annum. With experience, professionals can earn minimum INR. 6 Lakhs to INR. 8 Lakhs per year and so on.
    To become a professional Forensic Scientist, one should have a Graduate or Master Degree in Forensic Science.

    Eligibility:

    a) Higher Secondary i.e. 10+2 with any science stream is the primary requirement for doing a Graduate Degree course.
    b) Graduate degree in Sciences like Zoology, Botany, Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, B.Pharm, BDS, B.Tech, BE or any General, Natural or Applied Science etc. is the primary requirement for doing a Master degree.
