Association of Computing Machinery is an official student chapter of Dwarkadas J.Sanghvi College Of Engineering. They been instrumental in inculcating leadership, managerial and technical skills through events like Industrial visits, Internship Fair, Seminars on foreign education, resume building, placement preparations and umpteen workshops to learn programming concepts.
This year, they present their newest venture, DJ ACM’s LOC - Lines of Code, an inter-collegiate 24 hour Coding Competition to be held the 16th and 17th of March, 2019.
LOC, is a student powered and driven event, that requires the participant to solve a set of bona fide problems, within a stipulated time period. The students will have an opportunity, to cumulate their ideas into reality and solve issues that are valid around us.
This year they have partnered with NGOs across Mumbai to present socially responsible problem statements. They have collaborated with organizations such as the Fire department of Mumbai, Kikabhai Hospital,Indian Development Foundation, Vivekananda Youth Forum and Young Innovators Foundation, for problem statements, to which the participants will have to present novel ideas and solutions.Elaborate arrangements for food are made, cash prizes and various other incentives will be given to the winners and the participants.Moreover, People from Morgan Stanley, CDAC, HEALTHCOCO, Upward Fintech, CEO of JK INSTINCT Media are going to come to judge the event
Through LOC, DJACM, aims to achieve a unique combination of technology and social responsibility. It’s the students of today, that lead the world tomorrow, and with that LOC: Lines Of Code, promises to deliver and direct students towards a better tomorrow.
